Meet Shelley Gaynes
Shelley Gaynes is the founder of Gee Wiz, LLC, a leading provider of sales and management training, coaching, assessments, and consulting services.. Her network of consulting partners works with a wide range of clients including Fortune 100 companies, non-profit organizations, small business owners, and individuals.
Over twenty years of experience in sales, marketing, management, training, and coaching along with a track record of success, excellent communications skills, and high energy, makes Shelley a dynamic resource. She is highly skilled at performing needs analysis, creating dynamic coaching and training materials, coaching for improved performance, along with course facilitation. DiSC, self-assessments, 360 Feedback, and Inscape Publishing tools are all part of her repertoire.
Since 1992, Shelley has served as an independent consultant, coach, and trainer for a variety of firms including AT&T, BellSouth, Cingular Wireless, John Henry Company, Monster, MCI, BellSouth Mobility, Georgia Pacific, The Colorado Outward Bound School, On Target, Wilson Learning, The Atlanta Consulting Group, and The Ken Blanchard Companies. She has delivered programs in relationship selling, customer service, leadership skills, territory management, conflict resolution, fundraising, team building, and coaching essentials.
Additionally, she is an ACC certified coach – an elite coaching credential awarded by the International Coaching Federation. Shelley holds the Corporate Coach U Graduate (CCUG) designation, and is a member of Coachville. Group coaching, tele-coaching, and face-to-face coaching are all part of her growing coaching portfolio.
Shelley’s career has included the following positions:
- Regional Sales Manager, Egghead Discount Software. In this role, she led the fastest growing division with P&L responsibility of $30 Million.
- Director of Major Accounts for a data communications firm. Shelley managed Fortune 100 accounts, and was involved in the creation of a network diagnostic system that enabled the company to double its’ revenues in one year.
- Regional Staff Manager, AT&T. Shelley was recruited to help build the marketing and sales organization during divestiture. She helped to develop the Account Executive Certification Program along with other corporate marketing plans and policies.
- BellSouth Corporation where Shelley was ranked the Number One Sales Manager, out of a group of 100 managers. As a result, she represented the company at a nationwide Council of Leaders conference. She consistently exceeded her quota, and had revenue responsibilities over $50 Million.
Shelley holds an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta. She achieved this degree through the rigorous Executive MBA Program and was amongst the youngest “executives” to participate in the course at that time. Her Bachelor of Arts is in Psychology from Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans.
Also, she attended the University of Madrid, Spain, during her Junior Year of College.
